“Anthony is a dynamic performer whose sound is characterized by a hybrid of jazz vocals, blues beats and scatological rifts, indeed a soul singer with an acoustic twist” –

MercyfulGrace Diaries with ‘Shade’- Really by Àrèmúorin

“You are always smooth”
So, excuse you. Am I supposed to be ghetto, demon possessed, and always acting like I’m on crack and weed, because I’m black? I don’t think so. That was shade – coming from a black, older, supposed to be, mature, woman; and I was, insulted, quite frankly. Jesus I know, who the f**k are you?
If I am smooth, or always smooth, its the God In Me: Boom! X And, when I do it through God, it will always be smooth ..’

MercyfulGrace Diaries with ‘Open Mics’ – Last Night by Aremuorin
Posted: June 19, 2015 Filed under: Arts, Humanities, Lurin Cato, Music | Tags: Aremuorin, humanities, Life Quotes, Live Music Leave a commentCarol asked me – ‘How did last nite go? was it fun?’
Nope. Drab – Never got on and my Yanky friends where not impressed as it was their last night. They left, initially, un beknown, to me, but l lured them back – excitedly, in high spirits. Seriously – poor organisation, was an operative word. If I reviewed this on my blog – it will be unforgivable. Now that I have decided to mention, it – I’ve withheld a particular name and venue on this occasion, as this is not just an isolated case. Happens here and there.
Sometimes its great – but occasionally you get dross; like this. Worst – was favouritism. It’s shambles. Why have a singers – name list when you won’t follow it. People turn up an hour before the show – to sign up, and you ignore – them and call your friends on, when they casually walk in. It is disrespectful.
Not only did those people spend their resources there; spending their valuable time and money, before their friends arrived, they also are important, too – and could choose to spend their time and money elsewhere. Also, singers charged an entrance fee is dire. Pure slavery. So, artistes are effectively – paying to play. Now, this is just wrong on all levels. Charge the punters, but don’t charge the artistes – bringing the free entertainment to you.
Also, some of the musicians where just blagging – on some songs, as they did not know the progressions – which left the energy and night flat in most parts …’ It was nail biting and cringing at times.
Dull over singing and over playing, and over all an unimpressive atmosphere. I wish I did not bring my friends there. They did not like it one – bit. I felt uncomfortable – myself.
When amateurs run around like pros – the result you get is mediocre. And swearing on the mic repeatedly, is unnecessary; it’s really unprofessional and self sabotage – when trying to get people to have a good night, or stay.
They need this feed back to fix up.

MercyfulGrace Diaries with ‘My Faith’ – Can Move Mountains by Aremuorin
Posted: March 5, 2015 Filed under: Faith, God, Humanities, Life Quotes, Love, Music, Spirituality, Tolorance | Tags: Anthony Everest, Aremuorin, Compassion, Faith, Live Music, Run To Love 2 Comments2 Cor 5:7 :: For we live by faith, not by sight.
Had an interesting conversation, today, with an unbeliever. It was surreal. I learned more about, myself, and others and how my faith – is misinterpreted.
Gave me room, to share a point or two, on how they might have misread the signs, as this may be about, their own, fears and insecurities, being projected elsewhere. It was great thou. Don’t know what brand new lies the enemy has been spinning on you today – but shake them loose ..’ I’m feeling fly, and I’m on a supernatural high.
Didn’t know my faith had so much power. Even when I am alone, I am not alone. I have angels on watch guard – following me, everywhere I go. It’s good to know God personally, and be covered by his loving graces. 2 Cor 5:7 :: For we live by faith, not by sight. #TryJesus #ILoveAllMyFriends #TrustMe #IDontJudge #Others #Love #IsFreelyGiven – Amen
Psalm 32:7 :: 7 You are my hiding place, you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

MercyfulGrace Diaries with ‘MercyfulGrace Live’ – From the 1st Night by Àrèmúorin

Live music has always been an essential part of this evenings event, and if you doubt, come down yourself, to explore. It’s the place to be, midweek, just before your weekend kicks off, with a bang, or however you want to spend it. This night should, and would eventually, give you the boost you need – to keep you motivated, to see another week, through.
‘I think there’s some football on wed – 26th, Nov, 2014 – but the show kicks off as usual, after – around half nine or so. Bear with us. Was just informed on that one. Gratias! (We gotta support our community in keeping in theme with giving back theme)
