Recognition is most meaningful when it reflects not only what we achieve, but what we choose to do with the platform it creates.
On the 31st of October 2026, Aremuorin™ was recognised at the Pride of Black Britain Awards 2026 — a moment bringing together live music, Black British achievement, heritage, community and purpose.

A Pride of Black Britain Awards 2026 moment of music and meaning
As part of the evening, Aremuorin performed My Baby Just Cares for Me. While receiving the award, he shared an intimate a cappella rendition of his original song Grandmother’s Prayers.
The moment distilled something central to his creative work. Music can entertain, but it can also preserve memory, carry faith, honour those who came before us and create a point of connection between people who may otherwise have little in common.

Art has the capacity to do more than occupy a stage. It can hold memory, affirm dignity and turn visibility into service.
Watch Aremuorin™ sing “Grandmother’s Prayers” a cappella
A brief, spontaneous performance became one of the evening’s most personal moments: voice, memory and prayer, stripped back to their essence.
If this moment speaks to you, watch, share and leave a comment: whose prayers, encouragement or example helped shape the person you are becoming?
Beyond the stage: music, peace and social impact
The honour sits within a wider body of work. Alongside his career as a singer-songwriter, pianist, producer, writer and creative entrepreneur, Aremuorin’s peace-ambassadorial and humanitarian work through the Universal Peace Federation places culture, dialogue and human dignity at the centre of his public service.
That philosophy continues through his music and humanities work and through MercyfulGrace, where creative expression meets social impact, faith, lived experience and advocacy. The connecting principle is simple: achievement matters, but its deeper value is found in how it can be used to strengthen, encourage and make space for others.
