Why I won’t go to church today ..’

I was invited to church today by a friend and this was my earnest reply:

I tell you. I am not overtly keen on religious Church activities anymore for a zillion and one reasons. My love for Christ has nothing to do with a building.

I can reach God quicker than speed dial and wifi. Church does not define my faith in God or my relationship with him. I admire your Church going desires; it just does not thrill me as such anymore.

God is a spirit of worship and truth. What difference does it make where I worship him but in spirit and in truth?

Coming to church religiously does not make my faith true or spirit filled.

I think I will pass today. I tread organised religion carefully these days.

Learned many a lesson. I must pray and wait till I’m led again which church to plant myself in again.

My father is a rev and my family are all in the church business round the world, running church’s from Africa to America.
