“If God has called you to preach, PREACH THE WORD – NOT YOUR OPINION ABOUT THE WORD. PREACH CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED”.
IN RESPONSE TO THE ABOVE COMMENT I READ ON A FRIENDS TIMELINE ON FACEBOOK
Every preacher /teacher of religion, has an opinion, otherwise there won’t be as many divisions in religion; especially in one faith. People forget the bible is not the complete revelation of God. Jesus said,
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. MATHEW 5:17
For one, it’s a political book and bias to some pivotal key figures in Judaism. Especially, women i.e Mary Magdalene – a confident, of Christ and best friend – who, started Christianity, for the better word.
I’m still waiting to uncover the book of Mary Magdalene and as to why it’s deemed unworthy to be included in the Bible with the other great testimonies. I think hers, is one of the greatest stories of compassion, kindness, repentance, love, friendship and forgiveness, that has yet to be told wholesomely, without bias. This is one deep revelation I can’t get over, every-time.
Jews do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah. Muslims see him as a prophet, not the son of God, even thou, they are both seeds of Abraham – the father of faith.
Opinions are only gratified and justified by revelations of truth(s). Who is to decide, if not by faith. Not everybody will get it. And, If they don’t, then – the message was not mean’t for them.
I think the less religion, I have in my life, the more peace, I’ll have. I love God, Jesus & the Holy Spirit – the remaining dogma & religious circus, around it, is what I abhor.
God has nothing to do with religion, as, I say. That was man made. God is Love* and he gave man free will (out of his pure abundance of Love*). Just as he gave Lucifer, Gabriel & Michael – the Arch Angels – Mercy. So, he gave, Adam, Eve, Cain & Abel, too. Cain the murderer, of his own brother, Abel, in a fit of rage of jealousy, over religion & Lucifer, the Bright Morning Star, known today; as the devil.
Man created religion to control. A big contradiction to fee-will, to love. Now, religion – divides and hates. Free will – still. If God was Narcissistic, he won’t have given, mankind – free will. Is this not why the ‘Holy Texts’ said in Genesis 6:6
“The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled”.
