The idea came after hearing the stories of various women in the UK and we decided to share these to the world in the form of a film as a caution especially to women and also to men alike. To open people’s eyes to the different forms of abuse that couples go through in their relationships so as to take action when they notice the signs.

Posted: May 13, 2018 Filed under: Fashion, In 14 Ways, Love, Music, Nollywood | Tags: Alex Gede, fitness, MercyfulGrace, Model, Nigeria, Nollywood Leave a commentI grew up in a divided home. With my dad and my step mother, two brothers and a sister. Like every typical Nigerian family, mine was big. But I never felt like I belonged. Never felt much love. Never found my place.
I blamed it on my mother not being there for me. So I promised myself I’ll never raise my kids in a divided home. With that, I looked up to religion to keep me on the straight and narrow path.
I had my first relationship when I was 25 and she became my wife and the mother of my two kids. Life as I knew it was done. I’ve ticked all the boxes. Followed the rules to the end. Masters degree holder, my own house, married with two kids (a boy and a girl).
When my marriage failed. The world as I knew it came to an end. My life ended. My religion, family and friends didn’t help in any way, instead, they made things even more complicated and difficult.
I was dead and lost. Lost everything. I was gone completely. But because of my kids, I decided on hang on. Just when I thought I couldn’t anymore, I found fitness and wow has it given me a new life.
I gave up my old believes, most of my friends and family, my banking career and started something new.
After more than 2 years of reconstruction. I now have new goals, new beliefs, new friends and family and 2 years older kids.
My company A-Grade Fitness Ltd is growing stronger and stronger by the day, my new full time job doesn’t make me hate Mondays and the gym is my second home.
I’m Alex, Alex Gede and this is me.
I’m here to tell you that even at the last hour there is hope. After death is the reborn. Never give up, never stop fighting and don’t be afraid to leave people that feed you negative energy behind. It does not mean that they are necessarily bad people. They are just not fanning your flame.
I’m not done yet. I refuse to stop now. So watch this space and see for yourself (from a distance or close by, it’s up to you) what kind of man I’ll become.

MercyfulGrace Blog Diaries with ‘Idris Elba’ – Black Super Heroes by Àrèmúorin
Posted: March 29, 2015 Filed under: Celebrity, Humanities, Review | Tags: actors, Aremuorin, Art, celebrities, hollywood, Huamnities, Idris Elba, Nollywood Leave a commentWhy are black people bothered about white fictitious xters ..’ Why not create your own – #Shaft
I speak as an independent black artiste, writer and producer who has a guilty pleasure for Mr Bond & Jason Bourne; but ..’ Why are black people bothered about white fictitious xters ..’ Why not create your own like :: #Shaft #Obatala #Sango #OrisaBunmi #FadeyiOloro #AinaEleyinOke #Yemoja #Oshun #Oduduwa #Lamurudu #Orunmila – instead of the #JamesBond #MentalSlavery ::
And these, are just a snap shot of West African’s fictitious heroes, from one tribe alone, in Nigeria. Imagine you combed out every, tribe, in every state, in every country, throughout the North, West, East and South of Africa’s RICH – untold history. A plethora of them longing to unfold
I was looking at my reflection, on the train; in the window carriage, today, and I realized, how beautiful it was ..’ Then, I thought to myself, damm – how come – no one told me this ..’
We don’t have to tell it, or do it, like Hollywood – but tell it, never the less. These fictitious xters, I mentioned above – would p**s on James Bond’s grave, any day of they week. First of all – James Bond is not a positive role model.
He has no respect for women. Nor does his character give any credence to any deity, above himself or his ego, save his Majesty – The Queen. Okay, let me be kind – he has little, or no, respect for women. A serial womanizer. Our fictitious characters – acknowledge a ‘God’, and pay tribute to our culture, history and traditions, which is informative, inspiring and educational. They are supernatural and fearless prophetic oracles – with balance.
They are not self centered ego maniacs. They serve our peoples need, and are great timeless classics, traditional, folk stories. They give hope and inspiration too. Far better than made up bond, on paper, for commercial PROFITS. They have meaning, depth, truths and life and Have been for centuries.
They give CREDIT to civilization and have been orally told – for centuries through our forefathers. Our history is, and was, robbed off, us, by the system, like James Bond Brand’s. Ours is Great Art – just like the Greek methodologies.
Tragedy, drama, suspense, humor etc ..’ If not better! Seriously, ya’ll need this checked out and INVEST in your own. Buy into the black brand. I’m glad, I know my history. They can’t lie to me! They can try, but they won’t WIN. I’m too bright for that. There are Shakespeare’s to a penny, in Africa that you’ll probably never hear of. And, that’s a fact. We don’t need to play black versions of white super heroes. We have our own. Its never too late. Do it!
